Wireless Car Play for less than £100

I have a 2019 Cayenne.

Car play is great but you have to plug it in. No more!

I bought a Carlinkit v2.0 for £88 of Ebay ( the same box is sold for upto about £130 on Amazon and other Ebay listings).

Installation took about 1 minute, and then another minute to update the software.

When you enter the car it now connects on the last screen you were looking at on CarPlay - so if you had Spotify playing it just starts playing the list where it left off.

Is it reliable? I watched pretty much every independent review of these different wireless kits and invariably they all went into meltdown after a while, getting slower and hanging etc?

I have one too (in fact two)

No problems so far, though the Porsche unit gets its knickers in a twist every now & then (even without the CarLink unit).....

Works perfectly in my 2018 Audi though....

Mine is still working.

Didn’t connect one day and I rebooted the phone. It wanted authorisation to use car play again which I think was a phone software update.

Can I ask if there is any mods to the PCM? Porsche units are notoriously fickle and I don't want to upset the unit.

Ok chaps, I took the plunge.

So far so good, really impressed how integrated and professional it is. No delay or lagging, instant connection, great - fingers crossed it carry’s on!
