I've noticed that many exhaust tip vendors list a different part number for the wide body 993's and the narrow bodies.

Just wondered how they were different?

The wide bodied tips have more of a right angle bend on the pipe which connects to the exhaust pipe. Basically the wide/narrow bodied rear bumpers have the cut outs in slightly different places. The bend on the tips attatchment pipe just makes sure the respective models sit in the right place.
Big ovals can be fairly tight in the cut out space even when you fit the right version to the car.

Cheers ClubSport, That makes sense.

I'm in a bit of a quandary as to which tips to go for.

Maybe Techart, Big Ovals or Motorsound.... any recommendations?

FYI - narrow body tips and turbo tips have the same "offset", wide body n/a cars (Carrera S and Carrera 4S) have a different "offset".

As a result i am running big ovals off a 993 C2 (thank you ebay) on my 993tt and they fit perfectly.
