Hi all I've just left a deposit on my first Porsche biggrin

It's a 2005 997 911 C2S

It needs a few bits and pieces, are there any good Porsche sites for well priced parts with good parts diagrams?

Thanks

You will often be surprised how reasonable Porsche Centres can be.

Download the PET from the classic site to get the part numbers etc.

AutoDoc can be good for certain things. Order via App though and get a feel for how their discounts change day on day. Takes up to 10 days to arrive

You can often get discounts for being a member of Porsche clubs (PCGB, TIPEC) or online forums (911uk). Maybe worth doing if you're about to have a big spend.

Great thanks I'll check all those out.

And yes I will be having some big spends as it has bore score, got it for a good price though so hopefully in the end I'll have a well sorted car for a long time.

And for those with very deep pockets. Generally speaking by some margin the most expensive place to find parts in my experience.

PorscheShop and RosePassion both good. As is ebay if you know exactly what you're looking for.

"A few bits and pieces" you said :-)

Definitely worth considering a capacity increase when you get the new cylinders. I was feeling all smug about my Hartech-rebuilt engine until they started posting the dyno results of the 3.9 engine...hey ho!

This. My OPC parts guy gives me discount without me even asking these days and even before this I'd say more than 90% of the parts he has quoted for me have been less than design911. When I replaced my coolant cross pipes and some hoses/clips, desgin911s price for the parts was massively more than the OPC - about 40% IIRC.

I'd be interested to learn about the big brake conversion - potentially looking at that for my 996 c2. What did you do, and to which model?
thanks
