The pictures do make it look tidier than it is but it isnt in bad condition by any strech of the imagination. It needs a new steering wheel but a new stereo and mats are on their way with a new gear lever gaiter fitted already.

I think the official colour is pewter silver and it has a dark blue interior

No its not terminal, mine's not exactly bent either just rough round the edges. It has a rust patch coming through on the off side sill, the front wing ends are showing signs of tin worm and the rear panel betwean the lights is a replacement and looks like it has rust issues too.

Paying for profesional repairs will probably cost more than the cars worth. So it looks like I shall have to get some practice in first and then tackle it myself.

Bodywork issues are always a pain I hope it doesnt cause you too much hassle.

Mine has a repair to the sill that appears to have been bodged, its only small and its not rusted again yet but it will need redoing properly if I want it to last.

the interior is really good, one of the main things that attracted me to the car. Its obviously been looked after well for most of its life.

I had some rust around the rear number plate lights, seems to be one of the few common corrrosion areas on the car. I got it repaired, along with a small portion of the front near side sill for about £350 from a Porsche approved bodyshop. That was about 3 years ago,and still no sign of further rot.

If you are going to have a shot at the sill repair , keep the drain holes clear (their are approx 4 running along the bottom of each sill) According to the bodyshop, drain hole blockage means the sills rot from the inside out.

Cheers, John

Sounds very familiar - exactly the same bodywork problems mine has...
