Bought Cayenne ehybrid new 2yrs ago, so soon due to for 2yr service.
Been offered a RAC extended warranty, £2200 36months inc 111 check

Price seems reasonably & would have thought extended warranty is a necessary for any ehybrids; However, wasn't sure whether this is something to put in place now dovetailing to the end of factory 3yr warranty hence inflation proofing the price or otherwise, taking up the standard extended Porsche Approved Warranty in a years time?
Presume the 111 check can be factored in to a 3rd yr service cost-wise?

If your car has a year left of the factory warranty then why would you need the RAC? The price is going to be broadly similar in 12 months time.

No personal experience of an RAC warranty but from reading a lot of posts on here I wouldn't bother with anything but the Porsche warranty.

As long as you extend the Porsche warranty before the factory warranty runs out you don't need the 111 check anymore - if you let the factory warranty lapse then you need it.

Presumably maximum for the porsche warranty is 36months? There's no 48month option?
For personal reason, i've to keep the ehybrid for that above duration & 4yr upfront should be more economical then 3+ 1yr.

Yes, 3 years is the max. I did 2 years originally on my Cayenne as that was all that was available at the time, but just renewed and 3 years was available. Far better cover than aftermarket stuff. The downside is that you are tied to OPC servicing and the cost thereof. Well worth it IMHO for such complex cars, with iffy transfer boxes.

Thats max 36 months at once biggrin You can buy the warranty up until the cars 15th birthday, or 125000 miles. Which is nice. Yes, you are tied to an OPC service schedule, but if they notice brakes are a bit thin, as long as you replace with OEM parts, you're golden.

do you mind me asking how much for the recent 3year extension?
