Hello,
So I've been in the business for about 18 months now, after a rough 3 months I like to think I've gotten pretty good at the whole thing. I've sold nothing but new Subaru's here in North Texas...So, I've gotten used to a very...PARTICULAR customer base but I average 20-30 cars a month so, I'm not complaining.
I and my wife just bought a house in Austin and I'll be moving dealerships. My first thought was to just stick with what I know and try to get a job at Austin Subaru since I have good numbers and know the brand very well. However, My wife has a Porsche and I've always loved the brand. I thought if there ever was a time to try something else out it would be when starting off in a new city! I've talked to a few salesmen when I take her car for service and it seems like a decent gig, but I was hoping to get I'll take on the situation.
Is it a decent gig for someone that's new to Lux cars? Is the money good if you're willing to put in the time? Or am I better off with the devil I know?

I think you might get better replies on the rennlist forums as they are US based. This forum is predominantly UK based car enthusiasts that own porsches (not sure how many people here sell them).

I do know that there are a lot of wealthy people that live in Austin so it seems like a good location to be selling luxury cars.
