Which car cover for cayenne?
Discussion
Hi,
I'm looking for a car cover for my 2016 Cayenne.
Richbrook Stormguard and Concours Galactic seem highly recommended. Does anyone have experience of both?
Stormguard comes in at £195.00 but for the Cayenne does not have the door mirror pockets though shown in the pics is stated in the description as not included.
Concours Galactic is £275.00 with the underbody locking kit and seems to have door pockets and front, rear and side eyelets.
Concours do have an eclipse model which is £190.00 and seems similar to the stormguard having 4 layer protection, so if anyone has experience of this model I would like to hear what you think. But if the galactic offers better protection then I'll get that.
I was wondering if anyone has experience with both, how do they compare?
Or what people think of either the Stormguard or Concours Galactic.
Thanks

All covers will sweat and rub against the paintwork. I've tried loads. If you can a contactless 'framed' cover would be my recommendation. Or no cover at all failing that.
Totally agree. I has a top of the range https://www.specialisedcovers.com/ outdoor one and over the course of a few years it scathed my 944 to death and sweated the paint to become blister like. Perfect if you put on only after a detailed wash each time and between that point and taking it back off it hasn't rained,....but its more harm than good.

Cannot avoid using a cover which is beneficial for me, I had an old cheap one which lasted a few years but ripped due to eyelets I had to make in it, the concours has a number of eyelets which is great even the front and back one could be useful occasionally. So no cover is not an option for me, even the cheap one I had was good. Not looking for advice on whether to use one or not, just advice on comparing these 2 or any other which is very good. Contactless framed cover is over the top for me, maybe good for use at home but I will be travelling for a few months so it's not an option for me either. The pros outweight the cons for me.As you have tried a lot I was wondering if have you tried either the stormguard or concours eclipse or galactic? Which one of the ones you've had was the best and why?
Thanks

I do like the Stormshield Plus & Skyshell, which one did you have?
I will only use it occasionally while i'm away as I did with my old one, The cheap one I had was good, lack of eyelets was a let down
and it was quite thin. I did not have the problems you had maybe as I didn't use it regularly??
It really was great for me.
Thanks
