Cold Start regulator
Discussion
Quick question?
Anyone out there with a Turbo2 3.3 that has had or having Cold Start Regulator problems i.e. serious fuel leaking.Just ordered a new one, nearly fell through the floor on the first quote get this £850.plus vat.
When i purchased my car 3years ago had a same problem had it fixed under warrenty,i dont think the unit was replaced, paying for it now!
Be interested to hear if anyone has had the same problem.

Thanks UV
Was your unit leaking fuel or was it not working ?
Mine is leak fuel but as far as i can tell still working. The only thing i have noticed, driving normal or really pushing her she is running really rich.
The advice i have been given is it dosent harm Turbos running a little rich.
What do think? How does yours run?
Cheers Craig

Mine had basically defaulted to always on max warmup cycle. My A/F ratio was off the scale something like lambda 0.6. A little extra fuel in a turbo is no bad thing as it helps keep temps. down, but it also increases the risk of bore wash. I know for a fact you can get a replacement item for not much money. Try 9m he must have my old unit around somewhere.
