Hi, I get a fair amount of squeel on my RS brakes, so wondered what you guys use/recommend to clean the brakes to help reduce and avoid this? I've just been using all purpose cleaner and jet washing them, which works for a few days but it comes back after 3 or 4 days.

My old 991.2 GT3RS squealed a ton from its ceramics.

There are a lot of articles that suggest its normal, including one on Porsche’s website. Did irritate me in town though smile

How do you find the feel of the PCCBs?

I find they have a lack of initial bite when cold/cool. The feel gets better when pushing hard/warm. But nothing like the bite with Steels.

You have to really work them hard to keep that heat and feel

I only ever had squeal when I hadn't jet washed and cleaned the brakes after a track day.

Yes when cold and damp they do need warming up a little when first starting. When warm and dry, they are on-it straight away.

I fitted Surface Transforms which substantially reduced my consumption of Pagid disc pads .... and I see that ST are now offering free refurbs of their brakes worth £1536 ... why ? I guess they never need refurbing ... unless you chip them in the kitty litter.

Try that with a PCCB / OPC ???
