993tt - used intercooler for sale?

Does anyone know where i might get a used 993tt intercooler? Mine's damaged (underside) and i am pretty sure is losing significant boost.

I've tried Douglas Valley and they say if they had one it would be £245+vat, but they don't have one right now.

Are you sure the I/C damage is bad enouh to hamper efficiency??

Hi John,

Yeah, i don't think i'm getting full boost as the hole (which has been badly patched over) is surrounded in oil... if the hole is big enough to leak oil through, it's big enough to be pi**ing out high pressure air.

If your intercooler has oil coming out of it I would replace your turbos as well....

i've checked the intercooler pressure pipes and there is a little more oil in the right hand one than the left hand one, and i happen to have a spare right hand (recon'd) turbo. Since the next service is due in about 6k miles i figured i'd get them to swap them over then.

Unless i buy a pair of Kevin's GT1 hybrids in the meantime...

The turbo pipes always have a bit of oil in them; more so if the pipe's leaking - ask Ken993TT as his pipe popped off at bedford - washed the back of his car in oil!

I've received my intercooler from Porsch-apart already! 18 hour delivery!

Looks good, will pop outside for a "fag break" and fit it in the carpark (i brought tools with me, how sad).
