987/997 Speedo dial re-calibration possible?
Discussion
Wondering the the knowledgeable people on here can answer a question?
I've a 2007 Cayman 2.7 that came with the black dial set. Mine also has Sports Chrono.
I've been trying to brighten up the 'black hole' of the interior and spent ages trying to source a 'white dial' set for the base 2.7 as the speedo is calibrated to max 175mph.
As I've only seen two cars for sale with this option fitted it became a lost cause so I retrofitted the dash clocks and sports chrono clock from a Cayman S (195mph max speed on speedo).
Only issue is the calibration between the digital speedo in the centre dial and the analogue speedo in the left. Above about 40mph it gets progressively out of whack with the analogue needle showing 5mph to 10mph over, depending on how many leptons are showing on the digital dial. It's not a big issue as I hardly look at the analogue speed but just wondering if the calibration can be adjusted via some Porsche computer wizardry?
