Porsche Macan 2021 winter tyres
Discussion
Just bought a 2021 Macan GTS with 21" wheels and summer tyres - not ideal for round our way in deepest countryside - they are white lining badly.
Trying to decide whether to source winter/all terrain tyres 295/35/21 and 265/40/21 or whether to buy 19" wheels and fit tyres, just for the weather
Any experience greatly appreciated

I have 295/40/21 and 265/45/21 on my F-Pace. The Pirelli summer tyres were s
t so I bought some Nokian WR4 SUV winters and they’re very good. They grip well on cold, damp roads and were fine in the snow.
Whether it’s worth the hassle of changing them twice a year is another matter but if you need to be able to use the car at all times in all weathers then they’re obviously worth it. I switch the tyres rather than the wheels.
Edit: Not sure what the brakes are like on a Macan but 21” is as small as you can go on mine.

I had the same issue. 21" on Macan GTS with summer tyres was quite 'exciting' out in the countryside.
Fitted 19" with the Dunlop Winters. Massive improvement.
There were a few used sets of reasonable 20" and 19" with winters on the 'bay etc.
Personally I bought a used set of wheels and then fitted new tyres.
Finding the tyres can be fun though!

I’ve got an older Macan GTS, and it’s on 20” N rated Pirelli Scorpion all seasons. In the -10° snow and ice we had in December, they were exceptional. Trying to decide whether to source winter/all terrain tyres 295/35/21 and 265/40/21 or whether to buy 19" wheels and fit tyres, just for the weather

Similar here - a 2019 model Cayenne S dropping from 21" wheels with PZeroes in summer to 20" wheels and Continental full winter tyres over the winter. Not really essential in the South East, but very necessary for driving to ski resorts in the alps.
I was on the fence about buying just a set of 21" winter tyres and swapping them over twice a year, then found this set of wheels with barely used tyres on ebay for less than the cost of 21" tyres alone. I can change them myself, or my local wheel/tyre place swaps them over for £25 a time, much less hassle than demounting and re-mounting tyres. Plus I don't have to worry about corrosion on my nice diamond polished summer wheels over the winter.
