recorded mileage?

Hello,
I've been looking Macans of late for the missus but can't help but notice after trawling through many adverts that in some pictures the condition doesn't seem to match the mileage on some, ie: steering wheel shine, pedals, seats etc. A couple have caught my eye but the actual mileage is of concern. So, is there a reliable way of telling the true mileage of these cars? Cheers.
