Just kind of thinking out loud and after a bit of advice from you guys I have been hankering after a track day / fun car for a while and have been concidering the following :

1. 1970's 2.7 rs lightweight replica full cage with either 3.2 or 3.3 turbo etc etc

2. 3.0 rs replica similar to above but based on a 1980's 911

3. 993 gt2 Replica

I have looked at a couple but nothing has really taken my eye so am I better in getting one that has been
already done or building my own ?

I ahve also thought about going back to TVR's i.e. TVR Tuscan race car etc

Any views welcome
Thanks
Phib

Has anyone doe anything similar etc

Hi Phil,

In this months copy of Total911 (that's the 2nd plug, John!!) there's a review of 3 x RS "Replicas".....all done by Autofarm, but not trying to be too authentic, ie, they use diff motors and starting chassis...in their words creating a "modern interpretation of a Carrera RS replica"...a bit like Lynx have been doing with E-Types, etc..

...sounds pretty much what you're looking at doinf...Issue 4's the one you want...

Even the Naim Forum is plugging the 911 mag!!! Did it have a LP12 in it last month?

Never seen a copy. Do you export to the Scottish market?
