Deposit on New cayenne Hybrid is it refundable
Discussion
Good afternoon
Just some guidance really, I was expecting the car soon but now been told I can get it mid august.
Being totally honest I have a small deposit down on the vehicle which is £1000
Seeing how the car market is moving I am thinking maybe saying no to the car and maybe getting one another time (when discounts) which im sure will come are available.
I am just wondering is my 1000£ refundable or since the car is at the port of Bratislava I have to say good bye to it and just wait for my discount cayenne and factor in that 1000£
Any help or advice would be great
Thanks everyone

Isn't the Cayenne Porsches number 1 selling car. So do we really expect to see discounts on them from new. As normaly during financial woes expensive SUV's sell like hot cakes.
With this being a new model on top of that also
A new model with dealers already advertising cars requiring homes....With this being a new model on top of that also

Just call them and tell them your circumstance have changed and you need to cancel. they will refund you. if they are pain about it. buy it without visiting opc to make any payment and get them to deliver to you and send it back under distance selling regs and get a full refund
Would this actually work though, due to maybe them saying it was a made to order item if it wasn't standard roll off the line specification?? I'm only asking as I have a Turbo S cab arriving at the dealer any day now and I am already seeing a few Turbo S appearing on the Porsche website as new cars which if not sold in a couple of months will surely be open to offers.......or am I just dreaming? The contract I signed when I locked my spec for my CGTS stated that I could cancel at any time before I was given an official estimated delivery date. My car has been built (notified on the app today!) but so far I've had no estimated delivery date given. I guess the OP's contract would say the same?

But naughty asking for a discount after you have committed to a new car order, shocked they let you order it with only 1k down. With this being a new model on top of that also
It will loose more than a grand the sec you drive out; if you don’t want it I’d walk away from the grand and let them resell it.
They shouldn’t have difficulty if it’s the new version, someone will want it.

Mine is already built, sitting in the port in the UK awaiting delivery to Swindon OPC. Looks like I may just have to suck it up.....His hadn’t gone into build, but they would still been left with an expensive build slot to fill!

Does nobody just order a car that they want, knowing the price of it, and just take it?
These things aren’t investment pieces. They are utility vehicles.
This is the market changing... same for watches. The likelihood of appreciation is low now... so there's a real cost to ownership. These things aren’t investment pieces. They are utility vehicles.
In an overs market, the buying decision is easier as its unlikely it'll 'cost' you anything.

So basically people ordering things they can’t actually afford? In an overs market, the buying decision is easier as its unlikely it'll 'cost' you anything.
A PCP is quite transparent. X deposit. Y per month.
