Hi, hope somebody can help with their own recent experience, I am replacing my current 992 Carerra with a new 992 and I am being quoted APR of 10.3%, does that sound the norm at the moment with Porsche Financial Solutions? Thanks.

It sure is. And there is no negotiation as the rate is set by Porsche Finance, not the dealer. Just go elsewhere for your finance, 7% deals are readily available.

Someone recently mentioned on here that they used Lloyd’s on a pcp at around 7.5%.

10.3 % is madness

The BoE base rate is now 5.25. I don’t see that 4-5% over base is far off on what is effectively a hire purchase in different clothes. Mortgage SVR used to be 1% over base, but now seems to have slipped to 2-3%, so a loan on a depreciating asset seems about right to be higher than rate.

GTS manual, I know everybody wants a PDK but although I love my base Carrera I missed having a gear stick.

I was stuck between a Carrera T and a GTS but by the time I specced the T as I wanted it it was approaching GTS levels of cost so went that way

Of sorts, they upped what they are giving me for the Carrera to retain my order and with the lower APR I’ve sorted out I’m happy enough.

I am seeing a lot of cars being sold by this chap so might be worth a go. I’ll be trying them on the next purchase.

Brave buying a depreciated asset with borrowed money at these rates. Even GTS models are taking a bath if you look at trade values. Nice cars but not on borrowed money

I financed my Cayman through Magnitude. My bank was offering a ridiculous rate but they were quite strict about how old the vehicle would be when the agreement finished and the car didn't meet the criteria unfortunately, but Magnitude weren't far off. They also got everything sorted very quickly, would recommend.

Pace Finance would be my finance company of choice. ( I may be biased as I own the company) They specialise in motorsport finance and high end cars.

They do some very good deals, especially for HNWI's and decent company purchasers.
