Where to Sell your Porsche?

This might be a silly question but I’m looking to sell my 718 boxster, not in any rush, and I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to go about it price wise?
I’ve listed on Autotrader with little interest and messers, plus I can’t shake the feeling that private sales will be hard to come by in this price bracket. The Carwow/motorway type websites are offering ridiculously low prices, £7k+ lower than what it would eventually be sold for via a dealer.
Are there any other options out there? I know a dealer is going to want a cut, but £7k seems too much, I’d rather not bother.

I think it helps to be realistic with these things, the op asks what is the best price wise and if price means sale amount then there's only one choice - remove the middlemen and sell privately.
If like me you think time and worries are worth money then just accept that those conveniences are worth it. A trade will typically collect your car, give it a good prep, advertise it, deal with test drives and offer a warranty, all of which cost them money.
I sold my car to Ashgood a week ago or so and they did all of the above, advertising a very reasonable 11% over what I was paid, immediately and in cash, upon collection. Start to finish it took 2 days to get money for the car and I had to do absolutely nothing.

Tricky to be terribly specific given the spread on values for a non specific "718 Boxster". But broadly, an offer £7k below what a decent dealer would list the car is unlikely to be "ridiculous". It might be a bit mean if we're talking a very early base 718 with a bazillion miles. But for a mid to upper market example, it's not a ridiculous spread.
I suspect if you think it is, that explains why the car isn't selling privately. Too many private buyers think they can price their cars a couple of thousand below the dealers. But anyone sensible buying privately will want a much larger discount than that to compensate for the dramatically higher risk / no after sales comeback etc.
But the bottom line is that if it's not selling it's over priced. Only possible exception is if there's something genuinely unusual about the car that makes it a unicorn spec car for a very specific buyer who might be willing to pay significantly over the odds, but then you're in a waiting game for said buyer who may never appear, and in the meantime the car is still over priced for the rest of the market.

I sold my Cayman via their site, they wanted to list at lower than I wanted but I insisted on setting my own price, it sold at asking within 10 minutes of going live to Porsche Newcastle.

If you put your asking price higher than their suggestion you will receive a call from a ‘specialist’ at Carwow, you tell him what you want and he agrees a higher asking price.

2. Look at what cars like it are selling for at dealerships.
3. Find out what cash price dealers or WBAC etc will offer you.
4. Split the difference and make that your advertised price for a private sale.
Job done.
