Newbury Sunday morning drive out

Hi All

I'm thinking of organising a drive out starting and ending in Newbury (probably somewhere around Podium Place) early on a Sunday morning.

I have a route that takes roughly 90-100 minutes, around the best roads Berkshire has to offer (Wantage/Lambourn/Great Shefford). Numbers probably capped at 8 to keep things manageable to begin with.

If people are interested please leave a comment. I'll be in a 997S or 986S weather depending, but any cars welcome.

Details (including breakfast, coffee stops etc) can be firmed up if there's interest.

I'm Pangbourne too, which is handy. Agreed, roads near Wantage are as good as it gets around here imho.
I've got a route plotted which I can share, although open to suggestions if I've missed any must-drive roads.
Any other takers?

Great stuff, so far Crudeoink, Lox, First Sea Lord and (car availability depending) TDT have expressed interest.
At the moment I'm thinking of aiming for some time in September (either 3rd or 24th) or October (1st or 8th).
Open to other suggestions however if anyone has a preferred date - will try and land on one that works for most people.

I would be interested, 996C4 or 986S, weather dependant. Worked around there 2014-18, often drove 'the back way' home...

I'm thinking 1 October looks like the most popular date so far, so targeting that. But if that's an issue for people, let me know and we can try to find a better date for everyone.

We can sort a meeting time nearer the date.

Starting location looks like Podium Place, Newbury. But we can perhaps stop briefly at Wantage if that's easiest for you Crudeoink (/anyone else) to meet us there?
