I don't have any pics of it but I did notice that all that power is transferred to the road through 335 wide Kumho tyres. A budget eastern tyre manufacturer but damned good quality to boot

Those kumhos are great tyres, enough grip for the 962.
The car felt great to drive, just like a big go cart!
We had a fuel pick up problem on the day, which has not come to light in its initial testing.
Seems like the pumps could not keep the swirl pot topped up enough,as it would be fine for 2 or 3 laps then dropped fuel pressure to 2.5 bar.
The car is for sale at around 300k,similar standard Daur for sale with full carbon body, but not so detailed for 600k on some german web site.
Some nice photos you have there.
regards

I was lucky enough to be helping out in the Historic Race cars area at the Festival and was based in the same pit garage as this gorgeous machine - it was a day to remember for that reason alone! However, I didn't manage to see anything of it on the track and would love to know more about its handling and speed.
If I remember correctly, it has a Porsche 3.6 (3.8?) engine - how would you rate it in comparison with hot 911 cars and/or the Carrera GT on the track?

What a great looking car that is, in black . . . 300K is a lot.

But wait: if Porsche could do a 'budget' Ultima kind of version of this. That would be quite interesting. With the 4,3 litre V8 in, detuned to about 400 horsies . . .

300K sounds a bargain when you consider the development costs (half a million a last quote?), but on the other hand a lot more than a Mosler or an Ultima - but a totally iconic car, and looks superb quality

What a car!
The tyres are a surprise...
... Kumho!
Are they any good?

The tyres are very good wet or dry, have been competing on them for 2 years now, cheap and good .BMw champs have been using them for years!
three compounds also available ,s,m,hard
Example price the 962 was £650 incl vat for 275 & 335 x17.
I can re tyre a 993rs or gt2 for less than £700 incl vat

The 962 is deff for sale now, sadly the owner has gone through a bad patch recently, so normal story applies
There is a similar daur car for sale on classic driver web site for £600k but not as good quality, in terms of finish etc

yes, they are awesome...
Had some on my integra type r last year, and they are excellent track tyres.
They have an extremely stiff sidewall and grip is phenomenal.

Dont stay road legal for very long though, and on a porsche they wont be alot cheaper than corsas or SSRs.
