Simple question really, C4 or C4S, what's the difference?

I'm sure others can answer this in more technical detail but essentially the 996 C4S is the wider track turbo body, turbo brakes and the goodies inside. Most of it was the wide body look I guess and for that reason alone the C4S was the biggest selling 911 model in 2003/2004.

Well I bought one in any case.....

turbo brakes, suspension and body (sans wing)

looks 10x nicer with that fat arse and red stripe

not much spec increase but you get electric front seats and PSP (or half price Bose)

Turbo suspension too eh? Nice. And yes I forgot the red stripe (gotta say the new 997 would look so much better with the red stripe - why didn't the S get one?)

I'm pretty damn happy with my C4S - in lieu of a Turbo it was always the one to get for my budget. Next time I guess it will be 997 or maybe a turbo but I think I'll hang onto this one for a while.

Loony
Ps, if someone could tell me how to I'd be happy to post a photo or two.

Without question it's got to be the 4S.

You know it makes sense!

C4S - I have just got in from having to do a very rushed journey to SW London and back (Bournemouth).
The car was fantastic - comfy and great fun cruising at 90ish !

Get one but make certain it has a PSE !

caution, my friend. as recent posts have indicated, the pages of open fora such as PH are perused by officers of the law, and such posts may be given in evidence m'lud. I', sure it would be best if you qualified your statement by simply cojnfirming that you were quoting your speed in Km/h.

Good advice. I should explain that when I posted about overtaking someone at 140 the other day, I meant twenty to two in the afternoon!

No, it was on a country road near my home. A young boy racer overtook me in a 30 limit, I stuck to the speed limit and met up with him later in a NSL. I overtook him at about 59mph. It all happened at about 1:40PM.

Oh purleeeease. Officers of the law patrolling PH?

I squirted my C4 up to 145mph (just so there's no doubt about any kmh malarky) this morning, I don't expect to be arrested as a result of this.

Maybe not now, but if you're involved in an incident whilst driving at speed and you are prosecuted then posts like the above could be used in evidence against you.

There have been many examples of prosecutions from postings on this site, have a look in the babylon forum.

a couple of weeks ago PH reported the case of a chap who had boasted on an open forum that his g/friend had taken his scamera points. both were prosecuted on the basis of the forum evidence and received pretty harsh penalties.

so you do what you like, mate. no skin off my nose.

The Bush adminstration haven't a clue about representing their whole country, Tony is a lost fool, Kyoto is a daydream and I get abused by 11 year olds from the local estates picking a fight walking to my front door. And the best plod can do is surf websites looking for phantom speeders to prosecute?

For **** sake - I can take a lot in this world but this is just ridiculous.

Moving to Mars at the earliest opportunity (with my C4S)
