Anyone tried Eibach springs on a 996?
Discussion
Further to all the very good advice given to me on my last post, I looked into the options available to me to sharpen up the handling.
The OPC wants an arm and a leg for OEM sports suspension packages, whilst the only other reputable specialist is charging a fraction of the price for an Eibach package which he swears blind will give me what I want, namely faster turn-in, less understeer and flatter cornering.
The drop is 25mm and will be firmer than normal (obviously) but not nearly as harsh as, say, a GT3 (which I thought was bearable). He intends to combine the Eibach springs with a front strut brace but didn't mention any geometry alteration. He tells me the package works well with 17 inch wheels if I want to maintain sensitivity and acceptable ride quality.
Anyone tried Eibach on a 996? Any horror stories?
