Winter Tyres?

I have a 996TT as my daily driver in the SE. Do any of you guys change your tyres for the winter?

Only Dom, but he does it twice annually with his underpants!!

I do it to preserve the magnesium wheels, as road salt is a bad idea, I've been told.

Good opportunity to get my off road tyres on as well
