I'm doing an upgrade on a 944S2 in a few weeks time and will be fitting a 968 gearbox (+ engine + supercharger, but that's another story), therefore I will have a 944S2 box for sale. Call me an make an offer I cannot refuse!

Colin, do you know what state the original S2 engine is in? Specifically the cylinder linings and the crankshaft.

If you use Douglas Valley, prepare to have your pants well and truely taken down!! These jokers had an Audi RS2 in recently and they wanted £5995+VAT for the engine

Try these:-

www.prestigesalvage.co.uk/

PH Sports cars in Derby, no website, see the back of 911 & Porsche world.

I've got a spare S2 gearbox in my garage, got it off E-bay for £5!! Needs new pinion bearings, but it's not for sale, sorry.

Whats wrong with yours anyway?? surely nothing that can't be cured by a good re-build, for which I'd recommend these guys:-

Ask for Barry or Grant

I've been using Douglas Valley for a few years (for a number of marques not just Porsche) and they are not "jokers", they are very reliable and have loads of stock.
