Posting on behalf of a friend....

This car is not currently for sale, but may shortly have to be sold to make way for a different variety of the porsche stable.

993 Turbo 4 RHD
1995 N
Black with full black leather
Sports Seats & DPS (I believe these are extras to the std. 993T4 spec)
48K miles + full AFN history
New disks, clutch and properly refurbised wheels.

Present owner has had it for over 2 years and it looks bloody fantastic!!! If I didn't have 2 kids and a wife I'd be re-mortaging the house to buy it myself.

So the question is whats it really worth. My guess is around the 40K mark.

OPCs would resell this for £49k assuming A1 condition.

Non OPC dealers would go as low as £45k so privately your valuation is extremely realistic but don't accept a penny less!

There was one up for 44k recently on PH, I think. Similar spec. That's private sale dosh, of course.

Bit of a buyer's market at the moment. Low to mid forties seems realistic.

Hell fire; £40k for one of these! Double take, methinks.

Frankly, the base car with 408 is so utterly competent, in a quite unfrenetic, massively (almost) all-conquering way that for those looking at uber saloons as the daily grinder, this has to be a quite feasible alternative.

Ok, maybe not. But nevertheless, demented VFM.

Sounds just like mine (except ofr sports seats). It was a LHD and I sold it for 37K at the beginning of the summer.

I think he could get around 43K for that car if he took his time. Though now is NOT the time to sell cars.

It has crossed my mind that my new S4 at 40k will almost be in the same ball park as a T2/T4/RS. Mmmm...

Funnily enough, Greg, no Boxster should be without one - I mean, the poor little sod'll be all lonely without something paternal to watch over it in the garage on those dark, wet, winter eves!

Cheerio Mercedes; hello 911. Sounds like an eminently sensible policy.

Chin, chin.

Hey big guy, you'll be the death of me. Don tried this once, rapid removal from Christmas card list

The Merc stays for now; at least it speaks the same lingo as the Boxster. Bit jealous as the Porker gets first refusal on the garage.
