I'll start a thread so he can tell you all about his new Porsche...

...it's speed yellow. It looks like a 924 on steroids. It's a...

968 Club Sport, and very nice it is, too.

As he went sideways under power unintentionally in the wet yesterday night, I gave him a little and said 'welcome to the world of the lightweight Porsche'

Got taken around Goodwood in Calum Lockie's 968 last week. Most entertaining, great chassis.

I'm sure it's well within my capabilities but I have no idea how to get a piccie on here and am mega busy today. If I mail a couple to someone will that person be able to chuck them on PH, a beer will be bought for said person at BTaP of course??

Cheers in advance

The Domstic one has just been telling me all about it!

Bleedin' soooperb!

One car that can lay serious claim to that overused term, drivers' car.

Nice sounding tune from the engine room too, I recall from a brief encounter.

As Hannibal Smith would have said, "Nice!"

Having rotated a 928S2 through 360 degrees coming off a roundabout, I can assure you that going sideways has absolutely nothing to do with weight, light or otherwise!

It doesn't help when they are set up to be stiffer than UV in a brothel, though

Cheers Manu.

Nah, alas I couldn't find one with M030 but as soon as I find the bits (I have a few people looking) they'll be sure to get bolted on. Well, the brakes at least and poss the roll bars.

Scottster - I'm not one for bodykits etc but I saw one just like yours with the front splitter off the ULTRA-Rare 968 Turbo S (I think) and it looked soooo mean... the one I had a look at had a kevlar bonnet too - got to get that splitter!!!
I love the yellow seat back covers... - a no-nonsense drivers car.... FKING BRILLIANT!

And I need to speak to you, as I have a rug to hand over and some hard cash to collect before you spend it down at Secrets Speak laters. Domster

Congrats Scott!
I suggest you start with adjustable Konis (the standard shocks are rubbish compared to them)
Don't forget too that M030-equipped 968 have springs at the rear

Hi Guys,
At the moment I'm in the position of having to decide between a nicely sorted E30 Evo1 M3 and a "bog standard" 968 CS, both are LHD, both about the same price. I work abroad and want to have a fun but practical car to track day and use when I’m home.
At the moment I'm thinking that the Porsche is the one to go for, what's your opinions on this "dilemma”?

Cheers,

D.

Hi Scottster, lovely choice there matey!

Ive had a ride in a 968 CS and they are simply fantastic!

If only they wernt group 20 ins (i think one of the quotes i got for one come to £4500 )

Anyway according to *Cough* GT purely Porsche (sorry for swearing!)
"Tech9 can supply the full MO30 kit including Bilstein dampers, stiffer springs, 40 percent Torsen limited-slip differential, drilled discs and anti-roll bars, from stock, for £2162"

Contact - Tech9: 0151 425 5911

Ive never heard of this Tech9 (so i dont know wheter they have a crap reputation), but i thought you may be interested in this.

ooh, yes and it looks as though they've got a website;

www.tech9.org.uk/

Cheers,

Marvin

Awsome car, congrats.
I love the seats and the color.
I have the 968 M030 sways and Bilstien/Eibach coil overs on my 951, this is the way to go, takes the car to a whole new level.
Enjoy!

Cheers for the comments guys. Nice to know you have that much PHer approval.

Thom - Was only going to get the brakes, shocks and anti roll bars anyway.

Photek - Driven both many times, 'personally' I perfer the CS, hence buying one this time.

Marv - Yer, I saw that. Seems very good value, must be second hand parts and not fitted I guess for that price?
