Gave my car a nose job

Removed the TT bumper and fitted a GT2 one. Before and after pics:

I trust the after one is the one with the slats across the grilles and the deeper splitter...

I like it. A definite improvement. Once the council spot it they will speed hump your road though

hmmm... if the bumper is all one piece and the splitter is an integrated part of the bumper and not replaceable like on the gt2 you're going to have all sorts painful experiences as it's going to scrape on everything and eventually pull the bumper down... ask jon luik...

Its a genuine OEM GT2 bumper and splitter and they are two separate pieces. The splitter can be replaced. The reason that you thought they were integrated is probably because they are the same colour. The splitter is normally black but I had it sprayed silver to match the bumper and give the illusion that the car is lower but in fact, the car is less than 1cm lower than it was before.

The reason that Porsche make the splitter black is that it is easier to repair if scraped on a speed bump etc but I'm willing to live with that as I didn't like it in black.

I have to say that I've always thought the front of a tt/gt2 looks like Darth Vaders face mask!

A load of porsche nonsense adam my car has the splitter fitted and it has'nt made any difference to the way in which my car handles,+ his cars got the turbo wing on anyway.I like it looks much meaner,and they don't cost that much if you go to the right source,about £575 painted and fitted

Front bumper/splitter,Its fiberglass same one used on the cup gt3s slightly different,mesh grills and a towing hole,which will need plugging,still im sure the one he has on his car cost quite a bit more

Yes, mine cost a bit more but then its a genuine GT2 one in polyeurthene. I know you can get cheaper non-genuine ones in fibreglass but I wanted the real thing.

The colour of the splitter is a matter of opinion and easy to change back to black. I like the fact that the GT2 grills are recessed rather than flush with the bumper on the TT. I also like the extra detail of the little black grill thats sits between the top of the bumper and the bottom of the bonnet and the slats across the grills.

Fair comment but i would have left the splitter standard black if i wanted the genuine article,and had payed the extra cash too for that,as the silver does give it an aftermarket look,its not a big deal really if you change your mind won't really take much to make it black again,anyway i quite like it as it is,it grows on you the more you look at it,for me anyway.
