Exhaust tips for 996

All,

I am currently getting a PSE fitted to my 2000 plate 996 C2 and would like advice on what tips I should get fitted. At the moment i have the stock tips and they look rather plain, so I wondered what would look a bit more 'funky' - and where i can get a decent price!

Will these fit a 996 Carerra 2 or are they just for 996 TT?

Steve - i have a set of the large ovals for a C2 if you want to make an offer as i changed for the twin pipe trims in the end with my PSE.

may need to check that it will fit as mine is an 02 facelift model, but i dont see a problem, but the turbo tips definately do not fit

What was your reaction to the PSE sound - mine is being fitted on Monday - I have high expectations!

I'm amazed Porsche sell a faux exhaust tip. Nova yes, 996TT NO!. Especially as with 6 cylinders how can you end up with 4 exhaust pipes?

Have you not seen the new Carrera S? Comes with 4 zorsts as standard...bit odd I agree but it's either that or 3 pipes which would look very perverse.

I think all of the multi tips look very sad. Especially as its a flat six, as pointed out.

One big tailpipe each side works for me.

interesting - does the 4S and TT have a different/better exhaust system or are the tips just wider so the chrome tips are not inter-chanageable with C2/C4?

Yep, get the Tequipment ones. Here are mine as fitted to my facelift with Sports Zorst.

IIRC, the visible differences between these and the Turbo ones mentioned are that the Tequipment larger oval bows outwards, whereas the Turbo tips, the smaller oval bows inwards.
