Decisions decisions??

Faced with this ‘theoretical’ decision which of the following would you choose assuming main uses would be trips round Europe and early morning b-road blatts?

- 993 RS
- 993 TT
- 996 GT3 (mk1)

Much as i like the Gt3 Mk1 (and i know of a good one going at the moment), it'd be the RS or TT for me.

Well, it kind of is the TT for me already! But i think in your position you'd have to drive them both. As wonderfully "alive" as the RS feels, it won't crush continents like the TT...

I hear what you're saying about the TT v RS, I'll have to sample both flavours. Such a chore

I would choose the TT on the basis that the others are too hard for b-road blasts. Having said that, I' haven't driven any of them

I'd dearly love one and for the cost to change it's within budget but I've no garage space for it

It is astonishing what that car can do and do well, and that's just dynamically. I also got (as an experiment) 32 Mpg out of mine at a steady 70 mph with the air con off ! It just excels in every way.

I went to drive a caterham superlight, the car was all over the place on caterham cars B road test route....On the way home I drove my RS over the same route and found it much quicker and easier to handle...may have been because the RS had enough weight to ride over some of the bumps in the road or the ACB10's on the caterham were just too darty.
Huge fan of caterhams, but they seem to fair much better on smooth tracks.

Caterhams also have very limited suspension travel.

To be fair GT3s are a bit of a handful on crappy country roads. You would probably be quicker in a c2, or at least you'd find it less arse clenching

early ones are down to £50k so close to 993TT money - just don't for gods sake buy it in vesuvius (they are nosediving in value)
