Slightly sticky accelerator

I have noticed that my accelerator seems slightly “sticky” on its first inch of travel. When pulling away I depress the accelerator, it then ever so slightly sticks so I have to apply more pressure which then means it goes down too far when pulling away.
Its hard to describe but guess what I am asking is can I do anything DIY to help this ?

Tip or manual? There seems to be something about the additional gubbins on the throttle on a tip that makes it feel like there's some stiction going on. Haven't been arsed to get my head own there and have a look yet, but it feels like the pivot point needs greasing.

Mine is a manual, but I guess greasing the pivot point is an option to see if it cures it?
How easy is it to do...upside down head first into the footwell no-doubt !

If the car has PSM then its 'throttle by wire' so it needs no more than tiny bit of grease or 3 in 1 oil somewhere. Just don't use WD40.

Is it the point just above tick over, if it helps my old 911 did it for awhile. just clear out any sweet wrappers/old leaves from behind it, and start again

Its not a lubricant its a water dispersant (hence WD!). It tends to trap dust etc and make things worse in the long run.

OK thanks - so yes it has PSM (standard) so just get down there & I should see something obvious that I can grease ?

Not yet, still a slight stickyness, just been too busy to sort it myself or get it looked at.

My question therefore is still current - can I grease something myself ?

It is probably your throttle stop has moved/needs adjusting. If you let the butterfly close too much then it gets 'sticky'.

On the 3.2 manifold there is a little screw that you can wind out to adjust the stop position.
