Cayman S in Evo.
Discussion
There's a good article in this month's EVO featuring the new Cayman S alongside an EVO owned Porsche 993 C2.
The more I hear about the Cayman, the more I like it. However, a word of warning! Don't order it in Non-metallic Guards Red as from the pictures in EVO, this does nothing for the car. I'm afraid it's the usual suspects, silver, grey and black.

Really? Interesting.
Of course, I'm not going to argue with you, because that would be churlish. I just thought that in Guards it did not show the cars curves off for me and didn't make it stand out as the Cayman.
edited: Being a little pernickety, I'm not sure about the fog lamp arrangement either. I know they needed to make it different to the Boxster but it doesn't work for me and the Boxster has the better frontal aspect.

Is cobalt blue the kind of 'Hyper Blue'/ 'sonic blue' of the Porsche world..? i reckon that'd be cool. it'd show off the curves too. i like the cayman too i just think it's a shame for the likes of me it's so dear...
i too thick guards red looks pretty good. but i personally think apart from 986S' (for some reason..?) modern Porsches don't look so good in non metallic (996gt3-rs possibly excepted)..

I'm going to court controversy and opt for a white one.
CarrAra white? What's that all about then? Typo?
"CARRARA", as in the name of the Italian city famous for its white marble, Michelangelo’s preferred source of marble for its pure whiteness and freedom from veining. As opposed to "Carrera", Spanish for race.
The optional special colours are circa £1500 extra. How they justify that when the normal metallics are "only" £600 or so I've no idea.
I've gone for Atlas Grey Metallic, full Oceana Blue leather and carpet. Somehow opted for Bose stereo (whoops!) plus climate and rear wiper. Arrives in January - cannot wait!
PS - As can be seen on the PH Classifieds people are already asking varying levels of premium for the Cayman. Does anyone know of people actually paying the sort of premiums being asked? The waiting list at my OPC is now 12 months and growing so I'm guessing that premuims could well be a reality for a while. Wot say all of you?

Cayman S in Cobalt
Looks mighty fine to me.
Looked fierce to start with then reminded me of 350Z in that colour.
