if you get 1 year on an import, nothing to stop you extending it for about 800 pounds a year.

If you are buying outside the UK dealer network, you may as well call german dealers, most of them speak good english are often happy to do a deal, you may get 10% off of the car but sometimes 20-30% off of the price of extras compred to Uk dealers.

I'd happily pay £800 to extend the warrenty for £8k off list !! Though if the car is an import do the trade not price it accordingly come trade-in time ??

i.e. You make your saving by not buying a UK car but then the car is always worth less to the trade compared to an equivelent UK car !

There must be UK cars available at discount. www.simpledeals.co.uk were only offering 1% on a 997 C2 which is neither here nor there !

Thanks for all your replies.

Technically all of the cars are imports so there shouldn't be a difference in price (only if it's c16 spec) but I doubt you'll be able to sell it to an OPC if you're looking to P/X it in the near future.

Independent dealers or private buyers shouldn't have a problem especially if you pass some of the discount you received to them when you come to sell.
