cost on wiper blades for Turbo Cayenne

Does any one know the cost of the rubber inserts on the windscreen wipers for a Porsche Turbo Cayenne. In Down under Australia they cost $310.00 Australian a pair and they only last 2 winters. Are we getting ripped off down under.

They should cost no more than about £5

mine cost the best part of £100 to get fitted at the OPC. Last year I went to Halfords, but as the cayenne and vw toureg are relatively new, they didnt stock them.

I have seen them on Ebay recently, could be worth a look?

No, no, no..... This is the second thread today I've had to go on about this. You don't need to replace the entire arms, just get refills for them. I bought some last week for my 996 for £4.80

Don't cayennes have those fancy flat wiper jobs? Doesn't look like you can do the refil thing on them.

Ah, I haven't seen them, but I'm sure Porsche won't make them in house. Bit of Googling should find an alternative supplier. It's only a bit of rubber.

The Cayenne has flexible rubber wiper arms, (which are crap because they`re as noisy as hell). At the heart though is a fairly standard rubber insert. Not sure if the arms were ever specifically designed to be pulled apart but if one man can make it, another one can pull it apart.

Henry, in my experience...just because you can pull some part of a car apart,,doesn't neccesarily mean it will go back together...workshop manual or not...somehow i don't think i am the only one who encounters this

Thanks for this information - only problem Bosch America stock the part, but where i live in Down under Australia they don't. Looks like a will need to import a couple of sets.

i got my touraeg blades from eurocarparts, £30ish for Bosch vs £50 for the VW/Porsche ones.

they're probably even more expensive from the dealer.
