Porsche Cayenne GTS issue.
Discussion
Hi folks,
We had the first breakdown about a week and a half ago in 25 years of motoring. A 2023 Porsche Cayenne Gts.
We've owned the car since around November and it has had no issues or signs of any issues.
Then one day my wife couldn't get in it. We tried the two fobs and no good. We used the emergency key under the handle and managed to get into the car to find the battery was totally gone, no lights, alarms or anything.
Porsche assist (AA)came and got the car going using their starter pack. He said take it for a good drive and it'll be ok afterwards.
Well the wife was out for 60mins , came home reversed it on the drive and yep totally flat again.
The AA came out the next morning and boosted the car again and she drove it to Porsche Preston where its been ever since with no update apart from they were trying to put charge in the battery.
Is this a common thing with this lithium battery in this model.?
It seemed unusual to go from a good working battery that had just been up and down the motorway a couple of days before to be totally gone with not even enough power to open the doors?
When our old Macan was getting low it alerted us in the app and it was noticeable as in the seats wouldnt auto move and the comfort lighting would go out straight away on switch off. Mostly during extreme cold weather, when I would just use my cteck and charge it overnight and then it would be fine for the rest of the year.
Has anyone had a similar issue on a Cayenne?
