I bought my 981 Cayman GT4 and it came with Michelin CUP 2 all round . I found them great in when warm and dry and superb on the track, but a but skittery in the wet
Once they wore out I swapped to Michelin PS4s and i felt they were softer and turn in was more squidgy and the car lost some if its sharpness . BUt they were a lot better in the rain and not bad on the Track
Now i need another set of tyres and not sure what to get and hoping you can help
Requirements
Ultimate Grip on road as i no longer do track days
Safe in the wet as I only use the car if it is warm and dry but if I get caught out wet I want to get hoe safely
Summer use only as I only use the car between April / May to September / October and if it is nice and dry
Not worried about wear as I only do about 1500 miles now

I really fancy Cup 2 , or Pirelle P Zero r but is there other options such as Goodyear Eagel F1 Super Sports ?

Any recommendations for a tyre for sumemr , dry , warm days would be ace

For the type of use you will be using the car I would stick with the cup2s and if you get caught out in shower drive accordingly. I picked up my Gt4 new early January 2016 in cold wet conditions and drove a number of times in down pours and never found the cup2s a problem.
What about PS4S ?

I would go back to having cups again. They increase the sharpness, brilliant grip in the dry and fine if you get caught in the rain - just take it easy

I made the move from cup2's to ps4's on mine a year ago and for the road I find them far better. They work in all temps and in the damp and the ultimate lower grip levels make the car far more fun on the road. You really have to push hard with cup 2's on the road to get the car to move and just find ps4's way more fun. On the track clearly cup 2's are the way forward as ps4's can't really handle more then about 3 laps but if its for the road I would stick with what you have and if you don't like the turn in get. a fast road geometry.

My fastest laps around Silverstone International in my GT4 RS have been on PS4s. Took them because I thought it would be wet. It was dry, and warmer than I'd been expecting, so ended up letting a lot of air out. Kept to 7-8 lap sessions. 0.3s quicker than I've ever been round there on Cup 2 AND the tyres were less shagged from it than Cup 2 would have been. I know I'll now go faster on Cup 2 next time, but I was surprised and impressed.

I like P Zero for the road, but no one else does...

I put PS4S on my GT4 when I got it in Sept and they have been brilliant as I use it all year round.

I had P Zero on my F Type R and even with AWD they were scary in the wet. I replaced those with Conti 7s and they are fantastic but I think they wear quicker. Cheaper than the PS4S too.
