Tubi exhaust......!
Discussion
There are lots of sports exhausts out there, try searching this forum, plus checking out:
www.scuderiasystems.co.uk
www.techart.de
www.fabspeed.com
www.cargraphic.de
www.millteksport.co.uk
www.haywardandscott.co.uk
etc....
Some of the links have sound clips too like the Tubi and Fabspeed sites.
Depending on what type of exhaust you buy it will varying increases in noise, though watch for resonance and boom on some systems, as this will wear you down on long trips.
Not sure how much real difference zorts make to power, although most firms claim power increases and back it up with dyno charts.
I doubt the sports zorst will bring anymore money back come resale, and it can be seen as a positive or negetive modification by different buyers, so keep the original just in case.
Hope that helps.
Martyn.

This should cover it, I got this reply when I mailed them, seems very good service.
Thanks for your email
The current Tubi Style sport exhaust for the Turbo has just been newly developed - a so-called Evolution 2 system, that was developed after requests from US customers for a more bhp and aggression over the previous model Tubi. It uses the 483hp '04 GT2 as a baseline, so on a stock turbo (which has a more restrictive exhaust than the X50 and GT2, it gives a VERY noticeable HP increase. (which manifests itself by the car running greater boost pressure lower down the rpm range ).
This new system is lighter and gives an even crisper, cleaner exhaust note to the 996TT than the previous iteration Tubi. The exhaust note is almost a V8-like roar at high rpm with a lovely deep rumble at low rpm. Of course it comes with integrated race cats (which are supplied to Tubi Style by the same supplier to Porsche) which in turn with the free-er flowing muffler are the components able to give the car an extra ~24hp
It really is a great product that entertains without being too boy racery or compromising the useablilty of the car. (also - for your information - the system is totally compatible with increased engine tuning so it's a great upgrade for owners considering ECU upgrades and so)
Fitment is bolt on, you keep your original exhaust, there is no cutting, conversion or invasive work to install.
The key issue though is still the sound. This is quite an agressive system which gives a a strong sound all the time but crucially does so without irritating or sounding tacky. We are so confident that if you don't like the exhaust, we revert you car to standard for free, give you a complete refund.
Other exhausts from German manufacturers (and Tuners) are just too quiet and/or too expensive (mostly all made by the same German company FVD or variations of Cargraphic). Some tuners, (like RUF) simply rehash the internals of the original exhaust system.
Tubi Style are the suppliers to the Ferrari F1 team and are dedicated exhaust system manufacturers. Each system is fully hand made in stainless steel, imported from the factory in Maranello, Italy, and comes with a lifetime warranty. Their products for Ferrari and Lamborghini are world famous for their glorious sound and each system carries the same confident lifetime guarantee as the Tubi for the 996TT.
As an indication of the quality of the product, Tubi Style USA, sold 110 Porsche 996TT/GT2 units in 2004.
The price of the Tubi for the 996TT is £2200 + VAT.
Fitting or shipping is free.
