Hello all, am interested in buying the Cargraphic exhaust for the 993TT - can anybody confirm that all I need buy is item 1 from the following link:

www.cargraphic.com/index.php?/s,6,7,18,713,731/

Its just that 1000 Euro seems very cheap for an exhaust and want to make sure thats all I will need... or am I just brainwashed by Ferrari prices of £1700 for a Tubi or Capristo?

I really have to do something soon about the noise - or lack - from the TT, its totally ruining the experience of driving the car for me - I come away from a drive feeling really underwhelmed - performance is stunning but aurally its leaving me very very cold, and thats a big part of the enjoyement for me. Am sure my 993 C2 sounded way better than this?

Cheers!

You're not alone.
I put RSR's on my C4S, and again on my C2 and they sounded *unbelieveable*.
Tried the RSR's on the tt - came off in a day.
Tried the muffler bypasses on the tt - came off in 2 hours.

If you get the cargraphics i would be very interested in a listen... help yu put them on if you like. I have the tools and the experience now :cough:

And yes, all you "need" is the 1000 euro bit. Assuming you can re-use your bolts (6 of them), heat shields (if you bother), and tailpipes.

Cheers

VS deal - will contact you once I have it re meeting up to do a fitting - its just had a new exhaust and cats following the Turbo failure it had (oil seal failed), so bolts etc should be new. Laways good to meet a fellow TT driver as well!

Mad isn't it how it can be such a stonking performer, yet in such utter silence - really surreal.

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

RSR's were quieter than the muffler bypasses but made the same sorts of sounds. Great above 4k rpm, but below 3k (i.e. off boost) sounded like the exhaust was blowing - like a 'farting' noise, know what i mean?

Isn't it more like a gargling drain noise?

My 993tt has Gemballa exhausts and it sounds great, but with a hint of "gargling drain" at lower speeds...
Very deep and aggressive noise at high rpm not unlike th racing 962 racers!

As above with the Techart exhausts i've got. Especially when it's cold - sounds like a boat
