Hi

I am based in Co Durham, so bear with me....!

A good pal who lives in the Borders,( and who is not a petrolhead by any means....!), has owned a nice Boxster S ( 2003 reg) for many years, but ,due to his very busy life, the car has been neglected for a few years.

I do know a really good and trustworthy indy Porsche specialist in my native Co.Durham, but I have no idea about the area around Edinburgh.

My pal has used a garage in the area for some work before, but TBH they didn't really do a good job ....( at all ...!!)

As far as I know, the car has not actually run for a while. But it is relatively low mileage..( about 50,000 miles IIRC)

I would like suggestions for those in the PH community who know.....( and it has been very useful in the past ...!) for a trustworthy Porsche garage to honestly assess the car mechanically, and, if it is realistic, to re-commission the car so it can be used on a weekly basis.

Thanks in advance.

One of my neighbors uses him and is happy with his work.

Just as a point of note...if I remember correctly the Perth OPC does discounted labour rates for older cars, it might be worth a phone call to them to compare prices.
