I have a 2017 Panamera 4 with Porsche Approved Warranty until 2028.

In August, a certain OPC carried out major warranty work involving removal of the engine. Since then, I've driven around 1K miles and developed progressively worsening repeated knocking when turning right, as well as the car suddenly pulling sideways on the motorway that I had to correct prompting me calling Porsche Assistance. Initially it started off as slight crabbing which is pretty common, but given it's a highly pressured time at work I ignored it longer than I should have done.

Anyway, subsequently Porsche Assistance recovered it to another OPC, who diagnosed a loose driveshaft. First OPC then wanted the car returned to them and have since disputed second OPC's findings, claiming it was simply a "faulty clip" on the drivetrain.

Porsche GB Customer Relations are now involved.

I'm concerned about both the safety implications of having driven 1K miles and whether the August work could have caused the problem.

What would you do? Would you insist on an independent inspection at another Porsche Centre before allowing any further work, or let first OPC fix the problem and just keep it at that (waiting until there's another issue)? I'm also worried if driving so many miles on it could have caused associated problems with the car, but how can I ascertain this?

Interested to hear people's thoughts, particularly anyone who's dealt with something similar.

I'd just let things take their course within the Porsche warranty framework. You've already involved Customer Relations. Chill for a bit.
