Hello, a bit of advice for what it is worth go have a look take someone with you, So that your heart does not rule your head. If you still think it is worth it get a PPI report done, that will tell you the whole story on the car warts and all.
I have had four PPI's done saved me a lot of money down the drain and my marriage HA !!!.

It does look a cracker and there's nothing wrong with them in general. 911 Virgin can be a little on the dear side IMHO though so I imagine that it has intergalactic mileage - which Henry will tell you doesn't matter as it's how the miles are done/the car's been maintained that counts. And he may be right but that won't help the re-sale value!

Seems OK to me - right colour, nice non-sport car, interior looks good - check it doesn't have any rips - Berber is rarer than a win at Dom's local dog track
Gonna be a 177bhp car I'm guessing. Check if its had head studs replaced - leakdown test should tell you what the state of the top end is like. Pressure fed tensioners show someone's cared about it too, but I guess the 3 inches of history ought to tell you that....
Summary - nice car at #7k, but why is the Millenium Bug price #3k lower than the "retail" - will Henry tell us why the price differential is so high?....

I'm guessing,but henry does'nt want you to drive away a car with a shed load of faults,but does understand that there are alot of good diy boys out there that have more time on there hands than he has and can do the job cheaper than he can,so hence the choice,which to me is very very sensible.

I thought it had pinstripe cloth seats rather than berber. I'm partial to a bit of pascha meself for that 70's look

Doh you're right!
As to the #3k of faults...that amount of money pays for a lot of fixing....Not that I'm suggesting for one moment that the car has those faults, but a top end rebuild with a gearbox overhaul thrown in is in that ballpark....
17 owners, that's great - every one of them spent £1K when they got it no doubt so it'll be in great condition.
Resale? People will buy on condition and at that sort of money the most you could possibly lose is £1-2K even if you sold it as spares!
I'm the 9th owner of my 993tt, I don't understand why it would put anyone off but I doubt i'll ever sell it.

Rubystone i think alot of that will be labour then it will have some kind of warranty,then a bit more profit on top for the time etc..
I dont think henry does his own repair/servicing work hence the extra cost again.That guy is no fool and i'm sure he does well on most cars he sells and having had vast experience in selling old cars myself, you really do run a risk of getting your fingers burnt every time you sell old cars like these.

Driving there is OK but it's far cheaper to fly Ryan Air to Frankfurt Hahn for 36 GBP return inc. taxes and borrow or hire something to take around the Adenau ring road. The trick is to have a Dedicated Ring Toy out there. And maybe a nice house to store it in. And maybe a Jahreskarte. And an account with Manthey Racing so Olaf always has coffee and donuts for you.
