OPC's Aaaarrrrgghh!! (advice sought)

My 996 was rescued by Porsche assist on Saturday with a burst radiator. Covered under warrenty so no problem there.
However, when picking up my car, the small plastic bit that covers the towing eye in the front bumper was missing. My OPC said it arrived like that and they would call the rescue company to see if they could locate it/replace it.
Also, by the time I got my car home the rear tyre was almost flat, (8 psi) returned it to 44psi but by the morning it had gone down a fair bit, but not as bad as the previous day. Looked at the tyre to reveal a screw bedded in it.
As it had taken a full 24hrs for the tyre to go down, I can only assume that the screw entered the tyre whilst in the care of my OPC (time scale dictates this).
Calling my OPC to discuss this, they said they had not got round to calling the rescue company yet and that the screw must have entered the tyre on the drive home. On sveral calls made to my OPC (Bournemouth OPC by the way) they have yet to return my calls. Should I take this up with Porsche GB? Do you feel they should replace my rear tyre?
It is this sort of crap service that puts me off buying another Porsche.

Firstly, I'd have ensured that the plastic cover was securely placed inside the glovebox or centre console following its removal; I'm not speaking with hindsight - it's what I did when my daughter's MX5 was recovered. In fact, if I recall correctly, the recovery vehicle driver noted that I'd placed the cover in the glovebox and detailed that on the receipt that I was given for the car.
As for the tyre, you can't be sure that the puncture occurred in the OPC; it could have, but equally, you might have collected it on the way home.
I have no allegiance to your OPC, but can't see how you believe your problems are their responsibility. I don't want us to get into an argument over this - as I'm sure emotions will play their part; however, I think that you may have to put it all down to experience and meet the costs yourself. Sorry!

My towing eye cover is attached to the bumper with a little cord. How did it end up lost unless someone was careless and broke it?
As to the tyre, I don't see how you can really know that it was damaged at their premises. Not sure theres much you can do. Is it a screw that looks like it came off a Porsche? That might help...

Dan - I cut the little cord off mine because I didn't want it flapping about in the breeze whilst on-track and possible damaging the paintwork or loosing it entirely... Did you just leave yours hanging when you went on track recently?

I've used this OPC and after my experience it wouldn't surprise me at all if they are to blame for both of your complaints. The problem is prooving it. They rely on the fact that most people can't be bothered to chase it up and give up after a while.
In the end I had to write to Porsche head office in Reading before the matter was resolved.
