Why do owners specify this? I don't get it.
I hate it - It's ugly and in a GT3 (RS) it's hardly necessary and I LIKE the car looking bare.
Anyone done a DIY job and ripped it out or do I have get Porsche to do it and rip ME off.

Kurgen (GT3 Rob) has just done it to his RS.

How weird I would actually have to have it in my car. Aesthetically I think the car looks like a 1970's maxi without it.

Each to their own but if you do take it out and want to sell it remember to keep the screws

www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm

Click on "Interior" then "P96".

You want the "GT3 console delete package" 85 Euros.

I completely agree. The dash looks shite without it as its just a long slab with a gap in the middle. Very 80s.

Also why wouldn't you want CDs in an RS?

Yeah have just done this, I hated the centre console with a vengeance. Apart from the cheap plastic look, it digs in yer leg when driving.

Looks much better now.!

Centre console easy to remove, but had to get an OPC to fit carpet panel section, as white centre section needs to removed and handbrake cable slackened off.
