swirl marks in paint
Discussion
Hello to all,
I have a flat black 996T, which has good paintwork without dings and scratches but with lots of swirl marks on the paintwork almost as if the previous owner used (Horror!) a car wash often!! What is the best method of removing these...Should I have it machine polished or is there a better way?
Thanks, Rich

Try the 3 stage process of Zymol.
It goes something like this....
1. clay, which takes all surface residue off car
2. deep cleans, which does what it says.
3. wax, they do lots of them, and are expensive, but give a deep lush shine, try Titanium, or Glassur, i think a double coat should build up a good coat, and should sort out thise swirls.
I did this yesterday, over 3 hours of work, but results are worth it IMHO

hi there !
if you use zymol make sure you apply and remove it all in straight lines (no circles) look on our web site @www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk and go to the zymol section ! there is a instruction section there !

Zymol is a waste of time for swirl marks. You need to get the car 'mopped' to remove the swirl with a product such as 3M:

I had swirl marks on my flat black 993GT2 and had it detailed by www.miracledetail.co.uk who used 3M product prior to zymol. Awesome results.

Hi All,
Everyone's up early on a sunday!
To all the people who are having problems with there paintwork, please contact me and I will pop round and give you a demonstration free of charge!
Once you have had your paintwork re-levelled by 1 or 2 microns, you will have a perfect finish like this in direct sunlight www.miracledetail.co.uk/auto-detailing-car-new.html?carID=95&imageID=1135
Kind Regards
