911 & PW vs Total 911

Fingering though Total 911 in Smiths today I was horrified to see the 965 911 SOO featured. The owner used to date my neighbour, arriving late at night like the milk tray man, cause her immense pain (so it sounded though our thin walls) and then start his (unbelievably noisey) car up at 3am by REMOTE control (parked under my window), let it warm up for what seemed like an eternity before dissapearing into the night.
Oh the times I would prey that you would leave it in gear so that it would drive through the front of the house!
Moving over to 911 & PW I was equally horrified to see that they didn't know what a 993 turbo s looks like, nor 965 turbo s. Who edits these magazines?
Luckily I was send a free copy of GTPP.

Actually the article on Porsche Turbos is possibly one of the worst articles I’ve ever read in any car magazine ever!
What surprises me is that nobody to the best of my knowledge has picked up on it yet; the bleeding thing was absolutely farcical.
The photo’s, the price guides, the omission of certain models, it was a right royal stinker.
How can they possible turn something own for a readership which I would imagine knows its onions on the subject that is so totally hopeless?
A complete waste of money this/last month based on that crumby effort

If you managed to catch a sight of the b@stard who was twoccing my car to hump your neighbour - without adding any miles to the odometer - ffs let me know, I'd be interested to track him down and find out how he did it.

I've got a picture of it somewhere, so I'll double check the plate, maybe it was 911 500 or something stupid re-jiggled, either way it bought back bad memories of hearing them humping all night long.

Deadly and utterly serious - positvely 100% black turbo 2 with silly exhaust(s), fat spoiler, 18" wheels and 99.5% sure of the plate too. I had just sold my black 964 so I was as fresh as a daisy when it came to porkers.
I'll try and dig up the photo.
My car was origianlly sold to man in Rochester, had the plate 911 H on it. 9 owners later, it's back in kent and knock me down with a feather, the guy up the end of my road buys a 911 turbo with the plate 911 H! No relation of the first owner either!

Hmmm, maybe not a clincher but this car is and always has been midnight - but easily taken for black. Fat spoiler - GT2 style? Check. Exhaust - not silly, just a ss B&B TriFlo sports job? Check. If you did get a pic it would be fascinating to see, maybe the plate was (is) cloned. Jeez...
Anyways I can't say this month's T911 is particularly brilliant from my perspective either, the introduction to the Turbo 2 "article" was odd to say the least. Anything else I'd better leave, I said all that could be said about the rest of it in follow up PMs arising from my thread not long back. Editor Raby has been in touch and we've put our handbags away already. I'll even buy the man a drink if we collide at a future porkfest.
911&PW took its eye off the ball. GTPP looks OK, as usual. I'll probably buy all of them though, still happily married so I need some reading for those doghouse moments

Yes, don't wish to get you in the dog house!
I will have a look for the pic tomorrow but (un?)fortunately that was part of a previous relationship that ended in a total loss! Maybe my rage filled past is getting the better of me?

Back to the magazines; how do they let a magazine go to print with such crap errors? Did they have stand in editors from Womans Own or something?
