I am now honour boud to say I also went to Specialist Cars last week.

They also have some great machinery, and replaced all four brake discs, pads etc. on the Boxster S.

Looks to be a top job at a fair non-OPC price, and many many thanks for the bacon sandwich for which they would permit no payment.

Thnkyou.

I have never been to their showroom but their ads and prices do make my eyes water. However, I did bump into these guys at a Croft trackday 2 years ago(They were sponsoring the day for their customers and I was taking part in a photoshoot fot GTPP magazine). The day was very well organised and all of the customers were looked after like Porsche buyers should be - very impressive. At the end of a great but knackering day I was faced with a nice evening cruise back down to Kent, deep joy. Before setting off I had to change my slicks back to road wheels and the guys from Specialist Cars without me asking, didn't hesitate to push me out of the way and do the job themselves. It was an act that I think reflects the attitude of the company, it's staff and their proprietor - and I hadn't even bought a car from them. If that is an indication of how they treat their customers then I can see why it may be worth paying that little bit extra for thier cars. Can you imagine an OPC doing that - my ar*e!!!!!

Just my 2 cents.

Seems john is doing rather well off the back of my very public statement, that was never my intention.
But seen as though we are where we are,my car could do with a full zymol john!
Oh and that bacon sarni and coffee would be nice too.

Its just finding the time as always.
John you know the touch up guy you have come round, can you book him for an hour or so at your garage or do you have to do it privately?
Its just as you know it can be very hit and miss with these guys,so once you find one thats good......
I take it your man is regular?
When i do get chance it would be nice to get a couple of paint imperfections shorted out at the same time if possible.

I remember seeing the red flatnose 911 plated A911 RUF a couple of years back at an event. I believe that was (maybe still is) a Specialist Cars toy. Spotted on the cover of a Porsche magazine today as "The best 911 ever?" Awesome car and an awesome stock, I will have to try and get over sometime!!
