If 35K is cheap then I think they are cheap everywhere - loads at or about 35K on autotrader.

Edited to say: that was just looking for Cayennes not turbos - I imagine they are a bit pricier.

Blimey! At that price I'm v tempted (as long as it has black windows so can't be seen driving an ugly brute!!).

What on earth is a Cayenne S fetching these days?

I believe the original post was looking for information on the "Turbo S", not the "S" or "Turbo" - I believe it is going to be released to revive flagging sales in the US, basically a turbo with a bit more oomph.

Good point DaGinge

No idea about it myself, but your guess of a bit more power would certainly fit the 'Turbo S' family line. So it will be very very quick, but still quite ugly probably.

Anyone for a W12 Touareg?

Best advantage of owning one is that at least when you're inside, you can't see the outside

There is an option on the Cayenne Turbo, a bit like the X50 where you can get an extra 50 bhp, so 500bhp instead of the standard 450....The S probably has the the 500bhp engine as standard, a few bits of trim and an S badge on the back.......I was looking for another RS and will have to fight the urge to order one of these

Maybe you could get a "Cayenne RS" ... +50bhp ... delete the rear seats ... roll cage ... helium balloon in the back that sort of thing ...

Evo this month reports that Porsche are quietly dropping the Cayenne Turbo model in favour of the Turbo S which was only previously available as a £10K factory-fit option.

The Turbo S gets 525bhp and upgraded brakes & suspension and is expected to cost just over £80K when available in January 2006.

Still fugly though.

The salesman who is dealing with me for my Cayman purchase quietly admitted that they weren't shifting too many new Cayennes. And I agree, it is just about the ugliest thing on four wheels.
