Aaaaarghhhh.....how easy is it to leave the car bloody unlocked?!!! Answer...very!
I've lost count now the number of times that the cars either unlocked itself or the boot/bonnet's opened as I'm putting the key in my pocket.
Talk about being paranoid about whether it's locked or not!
Anybody else experience this?

My car had a auto-lock feature, sounds like it wasn't standard.
Would lock itself after 2 mins of no activity.
No. It IS standard. However the auto-lock behaviour is programmable by your OPC.
Anniesdad: Go to your OPC and get them to switch auto-locking on. You can have it lock after a time period, or when the car reaches 5mph or both etc etc

As a matter of interest, would it do this if the key was still in the ignition?
Nope, it is disarmed by opening the door. There are probably daft ways to lock yourself out, but I didn't manage to find one.

Thanks for that Don - don't have the car anymore, but good to know!
It's a pain in the arse when you're trying to clean the thing. All the doors closed, and keys in the pocket... giving it a good scrub when they alarm has just activiated itself leaves a ringing in your ears for days..!

It describes the optional settings that you can have programmed. Also tells you how to deadlock it etc.
