Can someone please explain when Porsche bring out this new GT3
why will It cost most of us owners 35K plus to change our existing cars ?
plus another 3-4K to get a track set up with Pirelli Rs or Michelin Cups

It still will have the same 3.6 litre engine with possibly an upgrade to the ECUs

they cannot suddenly produce bundles of horsepower !

surely if you spent 10K plus on a 3.8 conversion you could get RSR type
performance from a Mark 2 or RS !!!!

Timmo,

I think the answer is for you to spend 10k on a 3.8 conversion, and if it doesn't detonate the engine, the rest of us will follow

lol.

At least Tim has 2 RSs so if one explodes he's not without transport.

Given the bath all the early GT3 owners have taken perhaps they will sell less of the new model which will help firm up prices. Also if the new model is so expensive to acquire it will probably prop up prices of the previous model

Tim,

With all that driver training you'll be kicking arse, with a standard car !!!

I'm am pretty sure the new car will be 3.8, and am willing to take bets on it !

You just know you're gonna want one (or 2 in your case), so stop fiting it.

Glenn,

After seeing Johns and Russels 993 GT2s going for it
at the ring last week
I think I would buy one of these before a new 997 GT3 RS

Awesome Cars

I will be suprised if the 997GT3 is much more expensve than the 996,,,,but if you want one you can put your name down and then wait to pay....
Try finding a decent 993 Gt2,,, there seem to be about a handful that find new owners each year.
