My order of importance others might not agree..
1. Michelin Pilot Sport Cups or Pirelli Corsa.
2. To get the most out of the tyres a good track set up.
3. Ditch the front 4 pot brake calipers & upgrade to the Mk2/RS Six pot, fit Floating discs Alcon or Brembo
+ Castrol SRF brake fluid, Pagid RS29 pads.
4. Do as many track days as you can and get some decent tuition.
5. Ditch the standard suspension & fit Manthey KW or JRZ.
6. K400 engine upgrade by Manthey.

I've never heard of the K440 ?, only a K400 and a K410.

I seem to remember from a Veyron article that an extra 7bhp was needed for each 1 kmh increase top speed.
60 bhp = 8.5 km = 5mph
in itself optimistic but with aerodynamic upgrade quite possible.

Given that a 381hp GT3 can theoretically do 190, I don't think its unbelivable that a 440hp one could do 200+ with the narrow body etc. 206 *might* be pusing it though!
The max speed of the road car has not been tested. It has some aero mods that increase downforce - not sure if they increase drag. I suppose that when the weather gets better a max run on the A5 can be done to answer the question, but it doesn't really matter, does it? The car makes a Mk II feel slow.

Floating discs allow for some movement between the disc and it`s mounting bell (the bit that sits on the wheel studs /hubs. This helps expansion and contraction. These discs normally use anti glaze grooves rather than holes. This reduces cracking as the disc ages. You need to weigh their fitment up against cost. There is nothing wrong with the standard set up but you will need to chage them more regularly.
On the race car we use floating discs because their life expectancy reduces the need to change components mid race. At the recent Silverstone 24 hour race we could have used a single set of discs / pads ! (we only changed the pads as a matter of course whilst the new drive shaft was being fitted at hour 18).
Finally 6 pot callipers will be more than enough. To be honest on road based tyres even the 4 pots will beat the tyre grip.

As I said, the MR440 does have some aero mods which definitely increase downforce. It is possible that they reduce drag as well, and by Jeremy's same equation a small reduction in drag will beget a 'larger' increase in max speed, so 206 is not out of the question.
I suppose that we'll have to test it when the weather is better.

Have they explained what their thinking is with the GT2 style wing, especially over the cup car assembly? My German is hopeless, so I have real trouble navigating the Manthey site.
I can't say what the thinking is with that wing over the GT3, but remember that you can only add rear downforce to the extent that you balance it with front downforce. As it is, the extended front splitter that they use is a bit of a pain in the real world, so I wouldn't want to aggravate the problem. Then again, the front splitter on the Cup car is pretty puny, but the whole thing does not have much downforce - I am living proof of that.
Olaf has a lot of integrity, so he would never add something for its cosmetic appeal unless it also worked properly.
