Yesterday when taking my 996 out of the garage for a spin (minus 3 degrees outside) the oil pressure gauge was hovering around the "0" mark for the first 15 mins of the drive. Oil level was ok and there were no warning lights. Just before I decided to take it to the OPC it jumped back up and worked as normal. Any idea what this could be?

electrical fault... wiring, connector, gauge itself? If it does it again get them to look at it/replace it. You don't want it to fail on a trackday

The oil pressure was registering around the zero mark and you still drove the car for 15 minutes??

Im pretty sure I would have had porsche assist out after the first 10 seconds... Oil level won't tell you anything if the oil pump has failed or has a blockage??

For what its worth - it probably is an electrical issue but thats a very expensive risk to take....
