That after my slight contre temps with a Fiat Ulysse my 993 is back!
And looking fab, though I say so myself.
New pic in my profile, and more here:

As you'll see a couple of minor mods, including the brake ducts in the PU. Also took the opportunity to fix a check strap on its way out and to fit a new windscreen and so on (all from my pocket I hasten to add).
And to celebrate I've changed my ID, there are just too many Dans on here now ...

The spots/air ducts have just gone on Derestrictor's uberbeetle, too.
DeR, if you are reading this, how did you get round the issue with the aircon condensor blocking the route of the ducting from the left hand intake to the brakes?
At the moment only one of the air intakes (the right hand one) is actually effective.
cheers

Herr Dan,
Good question and according to the geezer wot dunnit, there's a special replacement bracket in there which accomodates the piping, etc.
Other than that, it's apparently a solid plate which needs abusing with a blow torch and a detatchment of Lilliputians.
Btw, I've just discovered the beetle's diff plates were seized up and for road use, wildly optimistic GT2 Rhorl spec affairs, apparently hopeless for the cobbled byways of the north so I'm having some suet treacle affair (GT3 version) put in to reduce some of the appalling 'load issues' which have been driving me mad for ages now.
Hey ho.

OK, that's what I was told too, so it needs to pop back in for that to be done. Was hoping there might be a way round it. Guess that'll be another couple of hours of careful surgery to stump up for.
Re. the colour its actually midnight blue, though I agree it does look like black in the sun in those pics.
And finally, LA, yes I'm sort of with you on the look, but I've finally come down in favour of the ducts, they just look so "tech". Even better in real life than the pics, too.
